Stayed in a double room that was recently remodeled. New bathroom vanity and sink, new wallpaper, new carpets. Not sure if the beds are new but they were comfortable in any case. Pool area sure needs some renovation. One water cannon was broken and one had been completely removed. Kids used to look forward to using these. Hallways have been recarpeted. Unfortunately the hotel entry doors and doors to the pool and between hotel wings are a bit worn out. If you want a hotel with a decent pool for the kids the Ramkota and Holiday Inn Express are your choices in Aberdeen. Holiday Inn is normally outrageously expensive, so Ramkota is a decent option if you can get a good room rate.
Nice, clean rooms. Super friendly staff. Tasty breakfast. Only disappointment was that there was no cinnamon rolls.
The hotel is freshly renovated and looks good. The pool area is good but VERY LOUD! Sound abatement should be installed in pool area, the hot tub had way too much chlorine, and the general pool area setup is very kid friendly.
Show up Monday night, after a long drive and ask if they would let us use the hot tub till 10:30. They said yes and accommodated us. We mistakingly assumed they would let us use the hot tub on Wednesday night. After a long day of hunting and a flat tire we finally were only able to get back till 8:30. Went to the restaurant and spent over $300 on steaks and drinks and once again didn't have time for the hot tub. The maintenance guy "Justin" came in 5 minutes after we got into the hot tub and started yelling at us to get out. We asked nicely to have till 10:30 again and Justin was beyond rude. Threatened to call the cops on us if we didn't get out immediately. Didn't even bother listening to us. We told him to call the cops and he went to get the night manager. She was just as rude, as we were leaving we overheard them calling us pr!cks and a$$holes. We stay here twice a year and spend plenty of money, needless to say we won't be back.
I had a great experience here! I was impressed with the overall look of the hotel and the rooms were very comfortable and extremely nice! The restaurant had AMAZING food and GREAT service! Overall, everything was perfect! Would go back in a heart beat!
